What Are Quilters Blogging About Today?

Yesterday I said I might try some new colours, so when I woke up way too early I started playing.

I intended using a light background, but it hasn’t happened, but the colours are prettier than the originals.

These designs would suit a very old bed style in a very old style bedroom.

I think I might start a new project file … keep the designs, but change the fabrics.

A very interesting design, though the colours in this project file are rather dull.

Love the way the clusters of four appliques form an interesting circle when set on point. They don’t do that when in a straight setting.

Looks like an antique, and I have a soft spot for antiques.

Like the second design … and one I might have to play with to see if I can find even more interesting designs.

Love the first design.

Another old project file using Electric Quilt Library files and fabrics popular in 1980s, which were reproductions of much older styles.

I am pretty sure that quilts in the original fabrics of this style did not mix up blocks like I do! I was looking for a way to use some blocks several times, but not have to make enough identical blocks for a queen size quilt .

Love this … but love it as a large mat in a very old fashioned room rather than a quilt!

First design is a bit dark, but I like it.

Very interesting. The lighter centre is nice, but the red blocks make it pop.

I would say that all three of these designs are anything but boring.
